Greetings, everyone!
Welcome to the new week of the featured contest.
According to the contest question, which one works best for the children with bad behavior?
This is my response; children need to be punished when they misbehave. Rewarding a child when he is wrong is like you, encouraging that child to keep up with that behavior, which is uncalled for. I can't reward my child when he is wrong, the best reward I can give to him is by punishing him or letting him face the consequences of his wrong deeds.
In this era we are, parents are fond of petting children whenever they go wrong, pampering and overlooking a child's behavior. For instance, if a child starts stealing now and their parents are aware of it, they will not rebuke it; instead, they will overlook it. Training children to become monsters to themselves and their parents as well, because one day, they will come in with guns and demand a particular amount of money, and if you don't offer, they open fire on you, and you are gone, and eating the fruit of raising monsters in a way disgraceful way.
Parents should not stop pampering their children, they should punish them when they are wrong. And reward them when they behave well to encourage them to keep on with the good behavior. Sit them down and teach them good morals and character that can sustain them beyond their academics and the skills they have.
Recently, I stumbled upon a video of one of the social influencers who talked about a man who is well-to-do, very wealthy, and has two wives and many children. One of his children, whom he loved so much, was sent abroad to study a course, while his on was there, he got a note that his son had killed an American citizen. This man has money; he reached out to the government of that city and paid a ransom for the case of murder to be silenced. He paid the money, and everything was subsided and peace reigned.
The child returned to Nigeria, and he summoned all his children and shared the properties that he wanted to return to the West. After he had finished sharing, his son, who had come back from abroad, stood up and told him that he was not satisfied with the share. He told his father to give him his car, but his father said, no. He wants to go in his car. The son went to his father's room and hid somewhere with a machete. When the father entered his room, he came out and killed his father. His father struggled to run outside, and he pursued him and killed him. He removed the car key from his father's pocket.
This was a father who pampered every wrong action he took. He would have allowed his son to face the consequences he had caused. In fact, his son was not just a boy but a middle-aged man.
These will be the consequences you will face, as parents, if you don't rebuke or punish them when they are wrong. Train a child when he is old he will not depart from it.
