Hoy hice este nuevo modelo de tarjeta, apostando por lo artesanal, hecho a mano, usando nuestra creatividad, uniendo diferentes modelos, reviviendo épocas inclusive, pensando también en quienes no cuentan con herramientas o materiales sofisticados o costosos.
Podemos hacer hermosas tarjetas, de diferentes formas, no necesariamente la tradicional, las tarjetas pop up son divertidas, curiosas y con práctica son fáciles de hacer. Para decorar podemos usar impresiones, stickers, recortes de papel regalo, entre otros.
Las letras podemos hacerlas con marcadores o podemos imprimirlas si no eres bueno en tipos de letra en caligrafía. La creatividad sin límites, regalos hechos por ti mismo y a bajo costo.

Hello everyone!
Today I made this new card design, focusing on the artisanal and handmade, using our creativity, combining different styles, even bringing back old-fashioned designs, whilst also thinking of those who don’t have access to sophisticated or expensive tools and materials.
We can make beautiful cards in all sorts of shapes – they don’t have to be traditional. Pop-up cards are fun, quirky and, with a bit of practice, easy to make. To decorate them, we can use prints, stickers, and scraps of wrapping paper, amongst other things.
We can write the text with felt-tip pens or print it out if you’re not confident with calligraphy. Creativity knows no bounds – gifts made by you, at low cost.

Toma la cartulina tamaño carta y corta por la mitad.
Dobla una pestaña hacia adentro de 10 centímetros aproximadamente
Corta otra cartulina de otro color contraste del ancho y largo que no cubra toda la pieza anterior y que pueda cerrar. Dobla la pestaña de la medida que llegue al otro extremo de la otra cartulina.
Pega la pieza más pequeña dentro de la grande respetando los espacios libres.

Take the A4 card and cut it in half.
Fold a flap inwards, approximately 10 centimetres wide.
Cut another piece of card in a contrasting colour, wide and long enough so that it does not cover the entire previous piece and can be closed. Fold the flap so that it reaches the other end of the second piece of card.
Glue the smaller piece inside the larger one, leaving the gaps free.

Recorta un trozo de cartulina más oscura un poco más pequeña que la cara principal de la tarjeta y luego pega, ahora corta un trozo de papel pintado o papel de regalo y repite el proceso anterior solo que este lo pegas dentro.
Ahora puedes pegar un sticker de palabras o dedicatoria en la parte interna.

Cut out a piece of darker cardstock that is slightly smaller than the front of the card, then stick it on. Next, cut out a piece of patterned paper or wrapping paper and repeat the previous process, but this time stick it on the inside.
Now you can stick a sticker with a message or dedication on the inside.

Con la cinta doble faz podemos crear efecto 2D o 3D, aplica un trozo en la parte trasera de un sticker principal y lo pegas en la parte delantera de la tarjeta.
Recorta una frase, pega en la parte delantera.
Lo puedes decorar a tu gusto, yo no quise recargarla así que solo coloqué dos sticker por dentro en los espacios libres con la intención de escribir luego algún mensaje dedicado a la persona que recibirá la tarjeta.

Using double-sided tape, you can create a 2D or 3D effect: apply a piece to the back of a main sticker and stick it onto the front of the card.
Cut out a phrase and stick it onto the front.
You can decorate it however you like; I didn’t want to overdo it, so I just placed two stickers inside in the empty spaces, with the intention of later writing a personal message for the person receiving the card.

Hoy probé este modelo, después de estudiar por mucho rato la forma en la que está formada se puede lograr, parece difícil pero no lo es del todo y a partir de esta forma puedes jugar creando otras a tu propio estilo y posibilidades.

I tried this design today. After spending quite a while studying how it’s put together, I realised it’s actually not that difficult. Once you’ve got the hang of this shape, you can have fun creating others in your own style and exploring different possibilities.
