Because we all have a superwoman inside.

Greetings dear artistic community, I hope you are doing great. I've spent days wanting to draw a super hero but the silhouette of it didn't come to my mind, so I started to see some references of poses and finally the muse was activated, I'll leave it as always at the end of the post.

Using references is not bad in our designs, it will reinforce our memory to know where the lines go and also avoid disproportion. But as always for the purpose of presenting your work in Hive you must always state the sources you use, always trying to be free of copyright.

That said my beloved ones, I was delighted with the final result of my design, every day I see improvements, today I worked a little on the scenery, I tried as much as possible not to overload it and my central inspiration was a radioactive girl, so I would have to use neon colors again, those that I used before and many did not like, but I did not perceive it because of my color blindness and the bad combination of colors, now, with my personalized palette, memorized the colors the application of the same ones is more harmonic, even so I feel insecurity because I know that the colors that I perceive, are not the same that you perceive, so I hope that it is to your total liking.

Personalized palette.

Paleta personalizada.

I have been using my personalized palette for many years, I think about 4 years, I always say that my son gave it to me, at first I had the names of the colors, until I memorized them and took them off.

I am happy because the design was not complicated at all, everything flowed. I will tell you some details that could be useful when you want to draw.

With time I have learned many things and understood others, for example before I was criticized for using airbrushing in the shading, they said it made the drawing look dirty and badly finished, in fact it ruined it, but I couldn't see it. When I learned to shade in this style, and I see my previous drawings, I realize that if there is reason to use airbrushed shading, it can be used but not so marked and not in the whole design.

I like the style I have now for coloring, it looks like wax crayons, I think it's great, like those old children's story books I used to read in the library.

Join me in the step by step.

The sketch took several layers, comprising the scenery, the shape of the atom, the initial sketch and the highlighting of the sketch. I work in this way to be able to clarify the layers and continue painting on these in new canvases correcting the details and to be able to hide them later so I don't make so many mistakes, it is a comfortable way to work because it minimizes errors.

I needed to know the background color I was going to use and based on this I had to see which colors of my palette would look good so that our super woman would not disappear from it. I decided to use a dark palette with its respective gradients.

Following the lines of the sketch I start to apply the base color carefully. Here we must see which colors overlap others and based on this we will open the folders with their respective canvases where we will empty each color separately, if we suddenly make a mistake, we can move the position of the folder to where it is necessary, either above or below. This had happened to me with the boots.

In the next step I place myself in the folder of the color of the clothes and I start opening new canvases as I apply details on it, I select the trim option and I apply with my favorite brushes the details of shading and applications.

I make the eyes and once I finished them and applied the shading on the mask I realized that they were disproportionate, very separated from each other so I had to correct this detail, fortunately we can always select the part we want to modify and move.

The next step I apply the skin shading as usual, which always takes about three layers in which I modify the opacity to generate those effects of light and shadow, which according to what they explain to me make it have a 3D effect.

For the last step, as she is a radioactive girl, I thought of applying more light in the background with some airbrushing and spraying, as I liked the result I added the stars to decorate.

See you in my next publication, I hope you like my design.
