The concern that I have about a downvote is I don't know whether that person is actually expressing their disapproval of something that I have posted or if they are merely a troll looking to tick me off. I received a downvote only one time here on Hive, and I looked at the person's account to see what he or she was all about. Everything looked very suspicious to me on that person's account; and you think that someone downvoting someone would at least explain why they did so in the comments section, but this person did not do so. I decided to go ahead and mute that individual, because the article of mine that he or she downvoted was very short and not even of a controversial nature. I know that that seems like the easy way out, but I continued to be bewildered by that person's actions inasmuch as I had never gotten downvoted all three years that I was on the Steem blockchain and there was nothing in my article that would have appeared to have offended anyone.
