this is the second of two connected posts highlighting the inhale exhale art exhibition in the old gunpowder house featuring eirik jensen and stojan milev. the exhibition covers twouniquely different floors each with a separate entrance. i posted about the upstairs section a couple of days ago:

even before stepping into the room my eyes are stunned with the giant painting on the opposite wall and the room itself. with the arched white ceilings the downstairs feels totally different. the lighting is brighter and while the walls and ceiling are obviously old, the paint is not. the floorboards are also fairly recent, the downstairs is divided into three similar chambers connected by low arched passageways

one of the artists, eirik jensen is busy packing a piece to be shipped. he has been selling well, deservedly so. we chat and he shows me around a bit and leaves me to take my time.
a closer look
jensen has welded a comfortable chair out of scrap metal and placed it facing a wall of his works in the second chamber. i sit and leisurely take in the view.
and scattered around the room i find curious little scuptures made of scrap metal like this starship. i recognize a bicycle gear, a copper coil...
as i am about to pass into the third chamber a little something catches my eye on the floor against the wall
i smile as i recognize the wire outline of a man sitting on a bench bent over and likely sleeping with his face hidden in his arms. i have slept in just that position many times in my younger years

jensen is packing another piece and i notice something strange on his arm. i zoom in to see...
i am not usualy impressed by tattoos but this powerful message runs up his arm like an auxillary blood vein.
outside again. by the door more shipping crates lie waiting to be packed.
i have taken all these photos with my samsung s22 phone. editing has been done either on the phone or with the free version of photoshop or both
