school's out for summer
the extensive bicycle parking at this school in Sandefjord is virtually empty. while there isn't much in the way of bicycle shadows the racks themselves make for rather interesting shadows all by themselves. now it's been a very long time since i went to school and back in the day we didn't have anything like these but some form of stand are present at all schools here nowadays. variations of U-shaped stands are common but the rack with the dangling metal are something i haven't seen before. they look like they allow for locking a bike without a chain, just a lock but i admit i haven't seen them in use. maybe it's something new for the scooters which have become popular very quickly. however the work they make nice shadows all by themselves
