this is an intentionally blurred edit of a pre-sunset shot from arawali beach in southern maharashtra. we are not there now but we wish we were. the west coast beaches are very popular in the evening as the sun is going down. every sunset is magical in it's own way but especially so on a lucky clear day free of haze when people can observe the sun sink directly into the sea.
the original photo is below
to be clear this is a reflection of me on the wet sand, it is not a shadow. i am casting one of course but since there is so much reflected sunlight on the wet beach my shadow is not visible. the reflection has no colors because i appear as a silhouette and it is my silhouette that is being reflected. if it was a shadow it would have been much longer in the low sun.
while the photo was taken by my wife @hindavi, the editing was done by me on the free version of photoshop express.
