Ihi, Ehee or Bel Marriage (Nepal bhasa,बेल बिबाह ) is a ceremony in the Newar community in Nepal in which pre-adolescent girls ' married 'to the bael fruit ( wood apple ) , which is a symbol of the god Vishnu , ensuring that the girl bescomes and remain fertile. It is believe that if the girl's husband dies lates in her.

Newar girls are married thrice in their lives
first - Ehee ( in newari ) bel bibaha ( in nepali )
second - Bara ta yegu( in newari ) guffa rakhne ( in nepali )
Third - marry with a real bridegroom

These marriage ceremonies are practiced by both Buddhist Newar and Hindu newar.

Bel Bibaha of a girl in held at her odd age like 5, 7, 9, before they reach puberty. It is two days ceremony beginning with the purification ritual and ending with kanyadan of the girl by her father. Kanyadan refer to ' giving away the vergin '. It is Performed in non -newar hindu marriage.

It has its own rules of wearing clothes , wearing ornaments , puja , make up, etc.

Clothes - Choloo , Jama, Ihi sari , etc

Ornaments - Bala, Sirbandi, Taya, nyapusikha, kalli, etc

make up is also like as god and goddes.
