Why am I writing this? Is it because I’m not afraid of anything? No, not even close. I live with depression and anxiety and can say that lately I feel as though I finally understand what that means to me and how that affects me and my family.

So, I’m taking my inspiration from Marvel Comics’ Daredevil, and as I sit here typing this out, I feel full of hope.

Let me explain, I turned 41 a couple months ago and made myself a promise. Before 42 I would lose this pandemic weight I’ve put on when I allowed myself to become sedimentary.

I’ve ballooned up to 235 pounds at about six feet tall. So I ordered myself a jogging suit through a company called Super-X. They do comic inspired activewear and I’d always wanted one and it was Black Friday.

Fast forward to January and I finally get my custom suit and it is comically too small, even though I ordered a large lol so here I go with my quest to fit into my Murdock suit. Wish me luck…

With hope,
D
