Torrey Pines Hike

This Torrey Pines hike is a rare mix of ocean views, and unique geology. Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve is one of those once in a lifetime destinations, I highly recommend this hike! Hikes are something I know all too well. Each year I have been to at least 100 hikes and trail runs. This by far is one of my favorites to show others, partly because it is very near to where I live. It is easy yet a workout without really knowing it is as you are captivated by the views and ocean.

There is parking up by the trail but I would suggest parking along the beach side as it is free and a nice walk on the beach never hurts. There is quite the incline at first with not so great views but just wait and it will come.

In the hike there are many trails but the main one is the beach trail.

It is quite crowded with people after 0800 and especially after 1200, which is the time we arrived.

Then it is all downhill from there.

Don't just take the beach trail all the way as you'll miss some great views like at Razor Point. Soak in the ocean views, then hike back the way you came.

Then Make your way down to the beach

We will end it with a walk along the beach to our car.

Now if you keep walking along this beach, opposite to where you most likely parked. You will eventually end up at Blacks Beach a nude beach for you all who prefer the optional clothing beaches.
