This is what my facebook constantly looks like now that I use Steemit. It literally doesn't interest me any more, which is quite a big deal considering how addicted I was to checking my feed. I probably used to check my facebook about 5 times and hour, But since using steemit more frequently I haven't checked my facebook in 4 days now.
It’s probably worth noting that my social media habit as simply rotated from facebook to steemit, and I will likely still be spending hours upon hours of my life scrolling through a news feed of some sorts or posting whatever is on my mind at the time, But atleast now, I have the opportunity to get paid for that.
I feel that the main reason that I have taken to steemit so well, besides the financial rewards, Is that, eventually I will be able to reach an audience of whom have similar opinions to myself, and therefore my words may evoke conversation over the subject, rather than simply receiving 4 thumbs ups, one of which being from your mum, and brief comment from one of your racist friends from school who manage to turn every subject of conversation into a debate about border control.
yep, I’m beginning to see this as my new home.
