I will show you how a cloud chain was started.
It was early morning and I saw the view above from the road, so I decided to go and have a look (5 shots). Then I also have some random shots in here that I took during the day (4 shots). We have wide open skies over here and at most times some movie scenes play themselves out in the skies, such as you will see in here. Btw. I think that the bird in flight in the first picture was the Peregrine Falcon, but he disappeared from view very quickly. A pity that he did not come in to land on the high tree where he normally sits.
Incidentally I have recently taken shots on two different occasions of the peregrine falcon with his prey, and I think maybe I will do a post about it tomorrow. But don't take my word for it, as lately my mind is a bit lame. Maybe it's had enough of all the stresses and decided to go on strike :) You might know that feeling when you want to explain something that you know well to somebody, and suddenly you, mid-sentence, forget the words or the names about the issue. It is such in my case.
Just that one big cloud in the picture, but it was the start of something.
Now two clouds in the picture.
And now four clouds in the picture.
I call it a cloud train, and you can believe me when I say it is beautiful to watch when it forms.
And now some random shots below.
Some lovely cloud formations crossed over the mountain.
Nature's window frame of a sunny cloud.
Also played with the sun in this shot below.
Finally, the sun game ended, as it dropped out of sight.
I don't have to run around in order to get photos of nature, as it is all here close by and hardly any day is the same. But in saying this, I miss so many opportunities to show you the beauty in the other areas of our province, especially now during early spring as one can see the photos in the media of the big carpets of wildflowers in the landscapes. The thing is that they are too far away, and it will take two days to drive around in order to get shots of the flowers.
There are many stopovers on the way, and the thought was always to book in at a bed-and-breakfast halfway to the destination and to do the same on the way back, but the costs are too high for us, and we just have to wait until one day that the gas (petrol) price drops, but it will not be soon as long as the USA and Iran is at war. Every time that there is an attack of one or another, the gas price rises, and although we have a small car it still gets beyond our financial reach.
Such is life.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
