Greetings brethren, I bless the name of God for such a wonderful time in his presence today, below are what I learnt from the service.
Lessons
God will not drive away those who are frustrating us in one day, he will take them off gradually so that the land will not be desolate. If God takes those things persecuting us all in one day, our hearts which is symbolic of land will be desolate and occupied by junks. The bible spoke of God not driving the animals from the promised land over night because he wants to also maintain the balance between humans and animals.
Many years ago some animals were extinct because of God's intelligence, if he let them remain the will harm man kind. If God drives all animals away from the land then the animals will be all wiped out and some places will be left empty. (Exodus 23:28-30.)
God controls everything in the world, the science behind survival for the fittest and elimination of the weak is not solely true because many strong animals were extinct so many years ago and some weak are still surviving. This is all God making things work according to his will and not according to the strength of the animals or their weaknesses.
The invincible things of God are reflected through what we see around. everything that is seen is the product of things unseen. As we see things around, they show those things that are invincible so that we should not doubt the existence of those things that are spiritual or invisible. The physical things are made from the invisible things. But the invisible things are not made from the visible things. That is to say the genesis of all things is from the invincible. (Romans 1:20, Hebrews 11:3)
Dark matter is another invisible thing existing that is proven by sciences even with the aid of scientific telescope it is said, it can't be seen but yet according to research it is proven to be in existence. They know they are existing because of the effect it leaves on objects.
Back holes is a place that can be detected because of the effect that happens around it. It can be perceived by the the visible things around. Anything that enters into it is absorbed but yet it can't be seen by the eyes. it is a space that belongs to an heavenly body which exist but the it died leaving that place vacant.
2000 years ago, all these scientific discoveries were not yet discovered but a servant of God forsaw it and spoke about it in the bible. For instance the black hole, no one expected that a star will end by turning into a supernova, exploding and leaving a space called black hole. No one knew that one day a star will get old and die off but it was already captured by apostle paul. If we are simple God can give us a knowledge that can live for many years even after we are gone. (Hebrews 1:10-12)
Paul already now about genes and genetics right from then and all those wisdom was granted to him by God. He knew that the issue of DNA discovery was discovered long ago in the Bible, Paul said during the days of Abraham, Levi one of his descendant was already in his loins. It's something miraculous. (Hebrews 7:9-10)
God really exist and his creation proves that is he is and he will always be forever and ever. We should never allow ourselves to be deceived that there is no God.
Marriage between first cousin double effects of birthday defects. Researchers said that marriage between first cousin is part of the reasons why many children are having defect today. Thirty one percent of the children born to such homes are at risk of having physical or mental defect
It is prohibited by God to marry or have sexual relation with our near kinsmen. It's better to wait for someone who is not our kin inorder to avoid any trouble. (Leviticus 18:6-18)
Our death is a great message, it shows that there would be judgement. God has ordained a day for judgement. We should not be carried away by the things of this world and so forget about our real purpose on earth (Acts 17:31)
The death and resurrection of Jesus teaches us two things, his death means we will die eventually and his resurrection teaches that we will rise and reign with him when he comes back someday. Death teaches us that there is someone in whose hands is our lives. We don't just live, we live because God made it so. It is not by chance that we are in existence. Someone is controlling our lives (Ecclesiastes 8:8, Acts17:28)
The fear of God prolongs life, God can choose to extend our lives so that we can serve him better. Death is not something evil, it is part of God's plan except if it comes when it is not supposed to, orchestrated by the evil one. Death sometimes means salvation. The body of flesh most first die for that which is eternal to come. death is used by God to take us away from something evil to come. God is supreme, his will must be done regardless what we want. (Proverbs 10:27, Isaiah 57:1, Deuteronomy 32:39)
It is possible to live a healthy life till we die. Our health must be a priority in our lives as we prosper. It is said that as we grow our health deteriorate but the bible tells us that our health should prosper as our souls prosper with the teachings of God. (3 John1:2)
A man in the bible died healthy even at an old age, his eyes were not dim and his strength was still intact until that time he died. He didn't also die because of disease but by the commandment of God. God has a provision for our health package but we also need to be watchful ( Deuteronomy 34:7 , Deuteronomy 32:50)
It is God who teaches how to live and such is the best way. God made provision for man to eat until he dies but man has to heed God's commands. we should eat out of what we labored for not for what another man labours for. It is a healthy way to eat from what we worked for. We should not just eat without labour. It gives us the right to eat. It is evil to steal or take from others by force to eat, God will not over look such ( Genesis 3:19, 2 Thessalonians 3:10.)
Most people are over weight because of eating just anything, it is not healthy it affects the heart, we need to know the proper way of eating. We should maintain good diet.
It's a healthy habit to sweat, exercise is good as well for the body. The exercise of the body profits small compared to exercise of godliness but our bodies are also very important and we must give attention to it. Physical exercise is very good, it's expels toxins from the body and also strengthen our immune systems. (1 Timothy 4:8)
Eating poor food with quietness is far better and healthier than eating the best food with strife, the manner which we eat has a lot to do with our health. Eating the best food with problems and troubles can still affect our health. When eat we should eat in peace. Whatever we eat we should always give thanks to God. Whatever we eat whether it is good or not but if we surrender it to God coupled with thanks God will bless it.
Parents should love their children regardless how they are . God showed us an example by loving both the evil and the good by letting his sun of righteousness to rise both on the good and the evil. Another example is about the prodigal son. Parents should not dispise their children. They are special gifts from God if your child is evil, pray for such child and commit him or her to God but don't throw them away ( Mathew 7:9 -11)
Our character and behavior with people is what determines how we win their hearts. So if we want to get back out parent's love, we must learn to exhibit good characters that are directly opposite from what we use to do to them before. We need to act well and show good characters changing completely from our evil ways (1 peter 3:1)
