One Event I Look Forward To This Year
This year is going to be an amazing one, things may not look like it yet but as we keep moving, doing our best, and trusting God, things will get better. I don't necessarily mean that the prices of goods will drop overnight. Well, if it happens we will be grateful, but my counsel is we should keep working, keep investing, keep saving, and don't give up.
There are so many events that I am looking forward to this year, I don't even know which one to go with but the one that I wish I could forward time to reach is Atmosphere for Worship Experience, 2024.
This is a church program that started many years ago, if I am not mistaken, about ten years ago but I got to know about it three years back, and since then, I have been consistently attending it. It's always held once every year, but last year, it was held for two days and the experience was beautiful.
Usually, it is held every 28 December, and the servant of God in the person of Apostle Johnathan Shekwanya is the guest minister. I have never regretted knowing about the program, it has contributed so much to my life so far.
The program usually comprises of intense worship section by some invited gospel music ministers and also the church choir, for the space of one hour or so and three hours of intense teaching of the word of God by his servant, the guest minister.
Ever since I started learning the words of God under that man, a lot about my life changed, encountering him was such a great privilege. I got to realize recently that he is the spiritual son of one of the renowned God's servants in Nigeria, by name Joshua Selman Nimmak, the general overseer of koinonia Eternity Network International. No Wonder, he loves singing while teaching the Bible.
This program has been transforming lives immensely in my place ever since it started. Sometimes I wish it could be held every month. But God knows why it was programmed for December.
Last year's program was so powerful, that the man of God kept emphasizing taking our financial life seriously by saving and investing, and also creating good relationships with men. I reckoned myself lucky to be there, he opened my eyes to so many things which I may not be able to share here because it's going to take me off this topic. It was a life-changing experience and I wish you were there too.
Why this particular event?
They say "An iron sharpens an iron," ever since I started attending this very program my life changed, I started seeing life differently. I don't know if this has ever happened to you, have you ever been in a situation where you sat under a teacher just for one day, and ever since then, you have been craving to hear more from that particular person? That was the case with me.
There was this connection between me and the man, it was always as if he was speaking directly to me whenever he ministers and guess what? He is more of a solution provider than a condemner. I mean he teaches possible ways to escape our predicaments than making people feel sorry for the way they are.
Sitting under him is always a moment of refreshment in God's presence, every 28 December is just like a time of refiling for me. My spiritual life gets energized and my relationship with God takes another step ahead, what is life without God? Whenever I get an opportunity to hear sound teachings, I don't take it for granted.
Johnathan Shekwanya is someone who always balances his teaching, you can't be under him and then have an imbalance growth unless you are careless, his teachings always touch all aspects of life; spiritual, financial, social, name it, so that in the end, you will not have reasons to say God is not faithful. Now you see why I look forward to this event right? Men like this are rare, when they choose to give you their time, it will be wise to do all it takes to sit and learn from them.
Last year it was held for two days as I said earlier, we are praying that it will be held for three days this year.
