It's fascinating how our bodies quickly adapt to growth. For many of us we might be at a level we only dreamt of when starting out our careers, yet at this present moment few take time to reflect on and express gratitude for such growth. It's not like we're especially ungrateful, but we have simply got used to our present circumstances that we look towards the future instead.

We take brief periods to acknowledge milestones, which I think is appropriate, as there is the danger of being limited by them. It is necessary to keep striving forward, that we can all agree. What I do believe is a best approach to drive while growing is the simply to remain grateful for the successes recorded. Of course this is easier said than done, as current pressures sometimes can make us forget.

The worst way we're reminded of how high we may have risen is when we experience a setback or fall. For some of us it may be job loss, while the most popular example perhaps are of successful entertainers who go from multimillionaires to broke seemingly overnight on the back of their own poor choices. Then we appreciate, and long for, the things we once had and had grown accustomed to.

In my books it is better to grow slowly but surely and steadily, than suffer a devastating setback which might be difficult to recover from. Growth and achievement, no matter how little is something worthy of admiration.
