When you talk about certainty in the World of cryptocurrency the only project that comes to mind for many remains Bitcoin. It remains the safest bet and undisputed king among the various cryptocurrencies. However, we are no doubt having an alt fest where other cryptos are rising to prominence as a result of their proof of work and proof of value.

For us Hivers, we are often quick to highlight the many bright spots of the project and its future potential. However, the project still has some ways to go before it will fully realize its potential. What is surprising to me though is that while Hive may not have met its primary goals (yet), from an individual standpoint it has exceeded mine and continues to do so each day.

Each long term user probably has a similar story to tell. From instances of project evolution to new uses, investment opportunities and rewards, Hive has been at the forefront of many of our crypto exploration stories. Am quite sure that for the overwhelming majority of community Hivers, the platform is our biggest crypto portfolio and remains our most important investment.

Remembering the Past

We all came onboard hive with vain imaginations of wealth being created out of thin air. Unfortunately during the first boom a lot of people were misdirected on what the project actually had on offer and let greed grab their sense of better judgement. I did join thinking Hive could lead to financial transformation, but I was not naïve about the process. I felt such a feat will require the overall success of the project at a community level. I was right and wrong it seems.

Hive has produced some individual financial success stories already. Not many, but they are present. If you check all the way from the days of steemit then it adds to the number. All this has been accomplished without a community boom but we were certainly fed a glimpse of what might play out if a boom does occur. Hive's success at the community level not only means more for individuals by virtue of demand, it also means a lot more people get to benefit.

Envisioning the Future

One thing I have found really impressive about Hive's evolution has been the diversification of commercial routes. Value is being provided from the traditional blog/social media we are used to and we are each afforded the opportunity to profit from that. Everyone who has stayed on this platform over time has benefitted immensely while we are certainly leading the way as one of the most innovative web3 companies out there.

There's always a reason to be optimistic at every turn.
