Am up empty on an article for today, and it appears the flu season has come in early for me as am showing symptoms. Still, having vowed to post as consistently as I can, I thought I'd discuss something a lot more casual and less technical.
The impact of Hive on users in the space certainly requires a moment of reflection. Yes, we are yet to moon and the token is still very much undervalued in my view, but for the last couple of years hive has and continues to impact lives.
I may not be able to properly do justice to just how well this impact is, but a few angles should at least give us an idea of the many ways Hive has impacted us positively.
The entire crypto space has shot to the forefront of investment opportunities and technological revolution over the past year, and some tokens have completely transformed the financial fortunes of a lot of individuals.
However, what makes Hive unique is measured in a couple of ways:
On a broad scale, the sheer numbers of people that Hive has impacted is quite impressive. We are taking thousands. If we focus on monetary benefits alone, hive has provided an alternative for many users who otherwise have little options available. I came across someone on this platform who stated he has been unemployed for 4 years, living off nothing but crypto with Hive being one of those options. Now we might not be seeing life changing monetary transformations yet, but depending on where you are, every earning may count towards something better.
If we were to try and branch out into other crypto investments today, chances are that we would fail. From several reasons like low capital to the technicalities of entering the space, many of us would simply give up before we even try. Hive helped several people get started in the blockchain before fully understanding what it was all about. Today some users are better investors because of the solid base that Hive provided.
Furthermore, the nature of Hive's impact isn't entirely on the reward pool. There are lots of things to take out from this platform that can help us in one way or the other. From investments on Leofinance and splinterlands, to creativity, all the way to activism on a platform like the familyprotection community, Hive has shown its versatility in how best to make impact from the space.
There is still so much to come, but I think this is the biggest validation some major investors get when we talk about how far we've come with Hive and where we are headed. The future appears even brighter with all the potentials of this place.
