The question is in itself a bit of an irony, as people already take investing and mining in blockchain technology as a full time gig. Many also are beneficiaries of the increasing opportunities in the chain that are heavily incentivized and rewarding. Why then did I choose to talk about this?

It is because for me I still have a traditional job and crypto is more like a side gig - one with a tremendous upside and potential of paying off even more than my main gig in the long term. I am sure am not alone in this regard, going by fellow users on the Hive chain who also share similar sentiments.

Obviously crypto can be short term rewarding. The recent NFT craze made me realize I probably am too unbothered about the short term benefits and should probably seek out some investments with the potential for high returns in the very short term, making mad profits, Easier said than done but very achievable considering the time and information I've spent here and have been exposed to.

A complete change in portfolio from traditional financial services to crypto investor soon is very unlikely for me at this point though, and when I do consider it I probably won't be making the switch anytime soon even if my crypto assets do begin to yield more dividend than my traditional job. Would you quit your traditional job if you achieved your financial goals on the chain?

@Tarazkp has mentioned in the past that the aim of building his crypto portfolio isn't necessarily to retire early into Shangri-La, but to be in a position of control over ones financial choices where we do not have to work out of necessity, but have the luxury of choice. I have come to realize that having options is indeed a privilege as we are the part of the well talked about one percenters that way.

Another way I see it is that crypto would likely need to offer us full time descriptions and consistent returns in order to completely abandon traditional jobs. We crave stability, as well as being creative beings. Being a full time content creator on a platform like Hive for instance is one crypto job that could be performed long term with consistent returns.

Furthermore, traditional jobs and crypto jobs are not mutually exclusive. We have more and more sectors becoming integrated with blockchain technology giving credence to once traditionally dominated areas. The more this integration happens, the more crypto as a full time gig becomes seamless and widespread.

Can we also talk about How Hive has been a leader in the crypto job space? While most of us won't quit our traditional jobs for Hive and instead use it as a long term option, it potentially could 'employ' full time content creators, analysts and teachers in the long term.

Then again, maybe am just thinking too much.
