I love devils advocate comments. they're in fact my favourite (take my upvote!).
Honestly, I don't see where we are headed in the next 3-5 years and uncertainty has become the new norm.
But based on that premise I wouldn't invest in anything. I would stay at home afraid and seeing my € depreciate.
Based on facts:
Seeing your fear makes me bullish. If Travala as a company and $AVA as a token performed like that taking into consideration the extreme restrictions that we're facing, what would happen once Travel restrictions lift off?
You like it or not, people will keep travelling. And this is something that will happen sooner or later. The CMO of the company told a while ago that the giants like Booking/Expedia are booking 25% of what they used to book vs the previous years.
If that rate of growth equals to 25% of 'what it should be', well. I'm Ok for that. things can only go better from now on.

Fundamentally speaking, Travala is backed by Binance (Binance owns 25% of the company since Travala merged with TravelbyBit in mid-2020). Binance also holds a decent bunch of AVA (1,5% of supply or 1M tokens).
Check this post regarding the merge:

Regarding funds, They made funding round back in October 2020 and raised 1,5M£ from an initial target of 500K£ (285% overfunding).
In the worst months of the pandemic in revenue terms (March-April 2020) they released a statement saying that they had enough funds to survive for 18 months. Even with 0 revenue (and this was previous to Binance backing).

Hope that solves most of your questions. If I can help you with something more, shoot! Come again soon to play devil's advocate! :)
All the best, Dane*
