Just to play devils advocate, tourism is not going back anywhere near those normal numbers for at least the next 3-5 years.
With these new UK and South African variants of Covid, it's going to be interesting to see what this does to the world's immunisation efforts. It seems the vaccine isn't effective on these strains, which throws a spanner into the works of any plans that countries had about public health of their citizens, let alone their tourism industry.
We are pretty much at zero cases in Aus so domestic travel is pumping (an opportunity for savvy tourism operators and airlines here to pivot), but there is pretty much no timeline for international travel to fully open back up. I know Aus is different to everyone else who is sort of at the 'well its out of hand now, so fuck it just let the elderly die and start again' stage, but normal is just so far off.
I'm just really nervy about putting money into anything to do with travel in this environment...
In terms of Travala as a business (not the AVA token), are they completely safe?
