Yesterday our coworker celebrated her 40th birthday, and we were unable to resist the temptation to prepare a little something for her.

She is one stubborn, but warm-hearted woman who don't like presents and surprises. But we broke the rule.

We put the little gift in a box, which was similar to the ones she receive on a daily basis- of course work related. So she didn't suspect a thing before the moment she opened the box.

Inside there was a 5 liters keg of beer, a few chocolates and a greeting card with the note, also written below, which I wrote for her.

Anyone who knows you at least a little knows that you are not a typical woman who loves flowers and gifts.

Most also know that you prefer a glass of good beer rather than a full bowl of sweets.

We hope that this barrel of beer will draw a sufficiently big smile on your face so that you forget about the anger because your colleagues wanted to surprise you for the occasion of a round jubilee.

We were anxious to see what her reaction will be. Will she be mad at us, and if she will even receive it. But despite all odds she was genuinely surprised and happy to see the gift. Even though she told us, that we didn't respect her wishes she couldn't said it with an angry face. She smiled like I never saw it since I am in this company.

So when we saw her reaction some of her closest friends dared a bit more. They wrapped her car in foil, and put some 40 sign stickers on it.

And even after that she wasn't mad. So after all this planning, and realizing the goal we were successful. We made a serious woman to be openly happy for a day for all to see. Priceless.
