Gas is one of the fastest method of cooking.
It’s a good advancement in technology but one needs to pay more attention to the other side of it so as not to cause an explosion.
I discovered a method which some use to lighten up gas at home that is dangerous and would like to say a brief about it.
Using a lighter
One of the biggest mistakes some people make at home is using a lighter to lighten up a gas cylinder. It could be very dangerous.
In fact, I have read stories of people who accidentally got injured whilst using a lighter to lighten the gas cylinder. What you are trying to do is using a fuel to light up a fuel tank. It might result in explosion because the moment you depress the lighter, you are letting out some gas molecules which lightens the main gas cylinder.
The Solution
The best way to lighten up your cylinder is by using a match stick. If you must use a lighter, you have to light a dry thin stick such as a broom. You use the broom to transfer the fire to the gas cylinder. It is very dangerous to use a gas lighter to lighten up a gas cylinder.
