My father once told me that lack of immunization claimed the lives of all his brother and sister (elder and younger) which almost claimed his life as well but by God’s grace he was spared. I thank God for that; maybe there won’t have been someone like emmaculate@emmaculate in this great platform (steemit).

Immunization is the process of protecting a person (adult and infant) from infectious diseases. It is very important in our vicinity. Several years ago, a lot of children were lost to several disease like small pox, diarrhoea, etc. when they were infants, then their parents tagged them ‘’ogbanje’’ or ‘’abiku’’ because of they lack the awareness; however, immunization protects people especially infant against deadly diseases.

It is vital that people should see immunization as the only way to protect the outbreak of these killer diseases. Women got old quickly after undergoing several laborious child labour with no child or one or two children to show for it like that of my grandmother. For those who are not aware, it is high time we embraced immunization.

Moreover, we have a lot to gain and nothing to lose when we immunize our infants, they will grow to become a healthy adult, and this will reduce the rate of infant mortality.

Finally, it will reduce the incidence of children’s deformity in our environment. Then women hid their children when immunization official arrived, this shouldn’t be, and parent should surrender their children to be immunized. The advantages of immunization cannot be qualified. If we don’t want to lose our children to the killer diseases, THEN SAY NO TO KILLER DISEASES BY SAYING YES TO IMMUNIZATION……..
BE AWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
