There was once a time
When at the thought of you
My mind would go wild
And my eyes would go blind
At other girls as they juggled their behinds
There was once a time
When at the sight of you
My happiness tank would be refilled anew
And I'd be left not with the faintest clue
What special technique was employed in moulding you
There was once a time
When at the touch of you
My heart would flutter
My skin would light on fire
And nothing else would matter
Oh my! Time flies fast
Now those times are past
The world is now oblivious
Of the time there was an "us"

I've written this poem for a long time now and can't quite remember what prompted it. Actually, that's a lie. It's just a memory I'd rather not dwell on.
Like Adele said, "sometimes it lasts in love, sometimes it hurts instead". It would seem this was one of those moments.
I hope y'all get to find love that lasts.
