“Don’t wait on your weight to live the life you want.”
~ Cece Olisa ~
I've never been overly uncomfortable with my weight and I've always managed to keep it within a healthy range. My sister has never understood this as she has struggled with weight loss and gain her whole life.
A little while ago I wrote a post about the weight that I want to lose as I'm feeling a bit uncomfortable in my clothing and I'm looking forward to getting back to my original size around my waist. The jury is still out on why I've got a little bit of padding around that area, but as we age, our metabolism changes and our bumps and indents seem to move around. So if I could take some weight off this weekend, it would be around my tummy. Am I excessively worried about it though? No, not in the least. I love the way my body feels immaterial of the fact that I've got a little bit extra around my midriff. I still wake up in the morning and I'm able to jump out of bed, I have generally good energy levels and I don't experience much pain or inflammation for my age which is miraculous considering what I've put it through in my many decades on this planet.
There is never a better time to enjoy your body and appreciate it than right now. I love the curves of my thighs and the indentation down my back where my spine resides. My shoulders are even and I've been told I have beautiful skin. My toes are cute even though the second one is longer than the first and third ones and my second last toenail is the smallest one I have lol.
There are two places that I'd love to move that little bit of extra weight to if I had the chance. I'd make my boobs bigger, they're not bad and they're not tiny, they are nicely proportioned to the rest of my I suppose but just one or two cup sizes up would be nice. It'll never happen, but if I could have had bigger boobs, I think they would have suited my body well and I'd have more of that hourglass figure that I've always dreamed of. And as for my bum, well, who doesn't like a perfectly round bum that just looks so great in jeans that your person squeezes your cheek while walking past? I look at women and there are some women that just have the most beautiful proportions and carry themselves well.
I knew this one woman called Chaz who was simply gorgeous. She had long brown hair that she wore in large loose curls towards the tips, her makeup was always in browns and stunningly immaculate and her body was just perfect. She wore lovely flowing dresses and cover tops in emerald green and blues that brought out the colour of her eyes and between her hair and her eyes, she looked like a forest goddess. Everyone looked at her and admired her, she exuded confidence and sexy feminine energy and she was such a pleasant person to speak to as well. I admired her charisma and grace when she moved. That's the kind of look I would love. So if I could miraculously lose or gain weight, I'd just strategically move it around to better utilize it, but I love my body and I'm sure that there are people out there that look at me and feel the way I feel about Chaz, so I really can't be anything but grateful that my body has looked after me as well as it has to date.
