Bitcoin is moving very slow when it comes to implement progress. Much younger projects have better tech and distribution. Although with Lightning and Liquid things can get interesting....

Yes BIS is not so crypto friendly. I wrote a comment on their last annual report. They say cryptocurrencies are not ready to be used as currencies due to 3 reasons: missing scaleabilty, missing finalty
