STEEM Internal Market Disparity !?

For those that hadn't followed me before, I am very new to the actual workings, usage AND Markets of cryptocurrencies.

So when I look at the STEEM/Steemit internal Market (if you go into your wallet, click the dropdown on your STEEM or Steem Backed Dollars and select Market).....
...and I see this, I think that means something, but not sure what.

If I am not mistaken, sometimes the graph has numbers on each side referencing the pending Buy volume and on the right side the pending Sell volume. Here the graph seems to use the numbers on the right side to reference(or key) bothe the Buy and Sell.

And the Sell volume at $1.40-1.50 is huge in comparison to pending Buy order volume.

Any insight or correction to what I have stated here or noticed?

For markets in general, what does this mean?
