Prayer is key in the life of every single Christian it is the means by which we communicate with our maker and by so doing develop a relationship with him, similar how one make friends and a good friend and a best friend and eventually a brother or a sister from another mother.
But in human relations we learn more about each other through our interactions, one of the best ways to learn about God is through the Holy Scriptures, because it is his words, guidance and instruction meant for us and whiles God cannot be understood we learn more and more about him each day we read the bible.
Through our knowledge of God we get to develop better relationship because we would what he likes and dislikes, what he expects from us and what we should expect from him and by so doing we become very close.
