John 14:23; Jesus answered and said unto him, if a man love me, he will keep my words; and my father will love him, and we will come unto, and make our abode with him.
There is one thing that is important in fellowship with God and that is Trust and obey. The Lord has always sought to make fellowship with Mankind, unfortunately we always find one way or the other to do things that sends us away from him, we go against his wishes, rules, commandments etc and in the end we drive a wedge between us and our maker.
But the Love of the Lord is Agape, it is unconditional, unfathomable and never-ending. And so he does forgive us and ask that we come back to him. It is for this reason why Christ came to die for us to abridge that gap that was created sin was brought into this world. Now his blood cleanses us of all eniquities as he intercede for us daily at the right hand of the father.
So do not be afraid to come boldly to the throne of Grace and seek for forgiveness after repentance for the Lord will take you back and will keep you safe from the grip of the Devil. One thing you need to keep in mind though, stay away from the evil deeds that lead you into sin and temptation and trust and obey the Lord and all thing will work for your Good.
