Being students of the scriptures gives us the privilege to gain awareness of certain things before they occur. The Bible is the only book that gives us information about the past, present, and future. It is an advantage to us believers.
It brings us to the light on occurrences which are certainly going to occur and not to remain in darkness. The reason for this is so we live our lives with all consciousness. This is also so that things do not take us by unawares.
If we know what lies ahead of us we would be mindful of how we approach it. We don't go about living our lives anyhow. People of the world may choose to live that way but not for us believers who are endowed with the word of God.
