Hi Everyone,
Today, let me share with you some interesting Austrian breakfast style.
My friends and I went to a restaurant in the mountain called FROOD.
As astonishing location on the very top of Brand skiing resorts or area in the estate of Vorarlberg.
Frood is surrounded by mountainous alps. It is fascinating view all around it.
People normally take a cable car or gondola to go up to frood. Inside the cable car, you will see interesting nature. As it was winter time when I went up there, the pines trees and forest were frosted.
And when we arrived to the top, you will see Frood Restaurant.
Frood caters special menu upon request. It also only accept booking in advance.
You will find it easily on google if you search for Frood in Brandnertal.
So, I order semi vegetarian breakfast set.
The vegan sets comes with oats, bread , honey and marmalade.
I also had extra pancakes. The pancakes were super flappy and delicious with fruits and honey on it. It is to die for.
But as you see the presentations, how Austrian deal with presenting their food to the table. I just love the idea.
HERE ARE PHOTOS OF WHAT MY FRIENDS HAD ON THIER BREAKFAST.
My friends has bacon, many type of cheeses, cold cuts and smoke salmon.
And of course breakfast for European is not complete without many cups of coffee and tea drinking.
And when I say coffee, it is black and no sugar added.
And guess what? Hahaha🤗 you guess it right! The breakfast is also not complete without wine. The image above s a wine glass containing PROSECO. Yes! For breakfast, Austrian drinks wine.
And after eating, I taught it is time to leave and walk down so I could digest some of my food that have just eaten. Oh no! No! No! No!
They want more drinks.. The images above is called APPEROL. I have no idea what it is inside this drinks. There was a orange colour syrup and blended with white wine. It looks weird to me but it was tasty.
It was about 12 noon when we left Frood. It was a long breakfast indeed. We also called it Branch when we have that kind of breakfast.
We finally walking down back to where we parked the car. It was about 2 hours walk with many slides in between. We enjoyed the nature walk all the way down.
I hope you enjoy the this story and when you happen to he in Austria someday, try having breakfast in the mountain. It is very special.
