Hey... joven:

Tú que alardeas de fuerza y destreza,
que te miras al espejo y contemplas
tu grandeza juvenil,

volverá a disfrutarla.

no será nada igual.

a tu corta edad.

Hey... young man:

You who boast of strength and dexterity,
who look in the mirror and contemplate
your youthful greatness,
Well, I want you to know,
that I too was once young and
with the passage of time it all turned to vanity.
turned to vanity.

You who strive and seek
to beautify the edges of your body and
you spend your time looking at the best fashions,
because, I understand, that life is very fleeting and
to enhance youth, it requires
wisdom and much more.

Youth is an ornament of a
wonderful stage of life.
You are a precious jewel
of that stage that will never return.
Enjoy youth like no one else
will ever enjoy it again.
Youth flies and escapes
to another stage of life that
will never be the same.

You, young man, who enjoys parties and vices and
of many things more,
With the passing of time only
You'll only be able to remember, but, everything
will be nothing the same.
Enjoy your life, enjoy your youth and, above all
above all, don't stop learning
what adults want to teach you.
In my youth I used to say I didn't need
the old man,
but I can't forget his teachings.
Enjoy whatever comes your way in your youth,
but, don't fail to enjoy the advice
of the wise men who want to teach you.

Youthful intelligence requires
the wisdom that time wants to give,
don't belittle it or become wise
at your young age.
Turn away your feet from evil ways and
follow the advice of your teachers.
Do not get drunk with much wine
nor give yourself to the vice of destructive substances,
appreciate life and cherish your youth,
because at the end of the road,
life will demand from you what you did with it.

Do not become a slave to your pride and vanity,
do not disregard the advice of your parents, and
don't mock the woman who wants to teach you morals.
Your youth is more than a treasure
that lies in the depths of the sea.
There are precious pearls with jewels covered with gold
within your heart.
Cherish all that you're learning about life
because when you pass this stage
you will have completed the most interesting of all.

Don't fall in love with the woman who loves vice
Nor wither in the bed of the married woman.
Seek only refuge in the wise woman
Who seeks a beautiful romance that lasts.
Hasten not thy feet to folly and
Nor stop on the road
with bad examples that others have set.
Consider always the good counsel
that can lead you to freedom and
and happiness.
