When the memory of a love flutters in your mind, you start to open every file in your mind to try to bring back to the present those special moments you lived, but, everything remains a memory and an illusion. Every time I bring her back to my memory I will only say: "Yesterday I looked for her".

Yesterday I looked for it

I traveled through the old corners of the sea
in the warm shade of the sand
where her body used to lie.
I dug the little holes of the castle
where the waves of the sea reached her feet.
There I searched for the shadow of her hair
and only in my mind did I find it.
Then I went to the palm trees
there too I searched for her,
I sat down in the cool shade of the afternoon
To remember the love I loved so much.
Surely it is a game of my memory,
perhaps the illusion of my heart,
I can dream of having her again,
but, nothing is the same anymore.
I got up and reached the seashore,
I contemplated the sailboat in which I traveled with her.
Everything is memory and nothing seems real.
I loved her with the crazy heart
with which yesterday I searched for her.
I kneaded the sand with my feet
and the breeze brought me her memory,
I remembered her so much that I imagined her in my arms.
My hands on her cheek
that's how I remembered her
so much was her memory in my mind
that it drowned the inspiration of my verses.
I loved that love so much
that yesterday I looked for her.
I didn't find her on the beach
I'll go to the city square
There I will look for her madly
until I remember her again.
I contemplated the bench in the square
there in much I caressed her
and my kisses went crazy,
so much, that yesterday I looked for her.
