Leaving religiosity and the theory of biblical knowledge to enter into the practice and exercise of the teachings of Jesus Christ about true love of neighbor. It is not enough to see the needs of the world, it is not enough to see so many people who die of hunger and diseases, it is to review what I have at my disposal to help avoid so many misfortunes that appear before our eyes.

Sometimes it is so shocking that those who have possibilities and knowledge of the word of God turn a blind eye to the needs of many people. How can we come to the application of love to our neighbor, without turning a blind eye?

The Lord Jesus, in a very simple way, mentioned it in a parable entitled "The Good Samaritan."

30 Jesus answered and said: A man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho and fell into the hands of thieves who stripped him; And hurting him, they left, leaving him half dead. 31 And it came to pass that a priest went down that road, and when he saw it, it passed. 32 And a Levite, approaching that place, and seeing it, passed. 33 But a Samaritan, who was on his way, approached him and, seeing him, was moved to mercy; 34 and approaching, he sold his wounds, pouring them oil and wine; and putting him on his horse, he took him to the inn and took care of him.

Dear reader, you know a lot about this story; He knows well that the priest and the Levite are professional religious, who claim to be representatives of God on earth, live the word in the theoretical and not in the practical. The love that Jesus teaches has nothing to do with theory but with practice. This is demonstrated by the good Samaritan, he was a man who was not loved by the Jews, because his religion was a mixture of the Canaanite and Hebrew religion. However, he was moved to mercy and was not idle with the needs of the other person who was on wounded land. The Lord Jesus, at the end of the parable, asked:

Who of these three do you think was the neighbor who fell into the hands of thieves?

Certainly, the answer is, who was moved to mercy.

This is a great teaching for all who make up the body of Christ. We must stop being religious and exercise mercy with those who suffer so many needs in the world. This can be in your community, in the church or in the place where you make life.
