Hello Hivers and beer lovers! It's Saturday and time to share a beer. My first intention was to publish this post last Saturday when my friend @tengolotodo invited me to share a beer experience. But that day, when I got off the plane in Bogotá at 5 a.m., my legs were shaking after I turned on my cell phone and was flooded with messages about what was happening in my country. Since that day, I have tried to get into a pseudo-routine, which is far from normal, to be honest, and I haven't been able to stop paying attention to the news there, therefore I haven't been in the mood to be here. But after a week, I think it's healthy for me to focus on other things, so this second Saturday of the year is my first post in the #beersaturday initiative in 2026. After our first walk through downtown Chicago and visiting the Christkindlmarket on a clear sky night in mid-December, we decided to walk to **a classic bar in Chicago's Loop**, **Miller's Pub**. ![MillersPub_ChicagoDec25_1.jpg](https://files.peakd.com/file/peakd-hive/coquicoin/EoK4nHUriGE83DAsnpBdP41NToga5GdkZ1p2WfJb7aGsTeVPqGNm45mG1JDyaeNafTd.jpg) The pub was packed with lots of people with reservations waiting for a table, but we weren't going to eat and just wanted to have a drink at the bar, so we went in without waiting. For me, it was the perfect drink to round off a wonderful evening.

Lagunitas IPA according to the manufacturer's description, >A well-rounded, Highly drinkable India Pale Ale. A bit of Caramel Malt barley provides the richness that mellows out the twang of the hops, including Cascade, Centennial, Chinook and a splash of honorary “C” hop, Simcoe.
