Definition of Terms:
Nurture is investing power into something to make it grow.
Structure is strengthening a framework to shape the direction in which something grows.
This post will be a self-referencing example. Right now, I'm investing my ideas and my energy into developing these thoughts. This is the power that is able to nurture the growth.
By defining these ideas clearly, I am structuring them. I'm laying down concrete definitions and meanings that shape and direct the power of ideas into words. This is the strength that forms the structure of the growth.
Why does this matter?
I could make a structured post that was entirely research-based, explaining the ideas of other people with citations and reference links, and end up with a very clear summary. This is a process that could potentially be automated, with no human power to influence the ideas further than what has already been said.
I could also put down a free-form, stream-of-consciousness expression of ideas with no underlying structure. This could get the feeling across or could be misunderstood entirely. Without solid form, the ideas would lack impact.
As another side note, the words influential and impactful mean similar things, but they are not the same. Influence, which derives from the Latin fluere, or flow, represents a transmission of power. Impact, which gives the sense of solid and fixed things colliding, relates to a transmission of strength.
Wisdom can influence.
Words can impact.
The unity of these principles is what brings an idea into existence.
