While holidaying in Bournemouth, we visited the Wimborne Minster Folk Festival.
The streets of the town was full of music, comedy, concerts, workshops, morris dancing, and stalls for the entire weekend.
Morris dancing is a type of English folk dance usually performed to rhythmic music.
The dancers usually wear bell pads on their shins, handkerchiefs, ribbons, and all kinds of regalia throughout their performance. They also use all kinds of props, such as sticks and swords. I guess you have to see it to believe it.
The dancers invited members of the public to dance with them. Someone's dog decided to accept their invitation and have a dance as well.
My favourite dancers were 'Mythago', a masked dance side, dancing in the Border/Bedlam Morris style.

If you are going to morris dance it's best to look as cool as you can!
It was an enjoyable couple of hours and apart from a brief shower, the threatened thunder storm didn't happen.
As there was a lot of food stalls, it would have been rude not to have taken advantage. An halloumi burger ended the afternoon nicely.
