A few years ago, I remember a new veggie burger came onto the market. They advertised it as bleeding like real meat. The "blood" was beetroot. As a vegetarian, it seriously put me off, even though I love beetroot. It was obvious they were still marketing to meat eaters. Having said all that I use the term "veggie sausage", because I don't know what else to call it!
