We took a trip to the Black Rocks which is a big outcrop of gritstone in Cromford, Derbyshire. It's quite a popular area for walking and rock climbing. It was actually mined for lead back in the day.
You can choose a relatively flat walk along the footpath, or do a bit of climbing up to see the lovely views from the top. We actually had some sun today, so it was worth the scramble to the top, as you could see for miles. It's best to do it in dry weather, though, as the rocks can get a bit slippy. I didn't fancy careering down the rock side.
It wouldn't be the UK without the puddles. Thankfully, with it being nice and dry today we had to take the opportunity to get out while the weather was good. It won't last!
This is my entry to the #monomad contest.
