After walking around Sherwood Forest, we called in at the cafe for a drink and a bite to eat at the Visitor Centre. It's only been open about 5 years so it still looks relatively new. As well as the cafe, there is a gift shop and interactive stuff for children.
Where Legend's Feast! Nice strapline. It looks as though there wasn’t anyone serving us, but one of the cafe staff members stood behind me, so I could take a photo.
We ordered our usual black americano and latte.
The little gadget was to let us know our order was ready.
We settled for baked potato with cheese, bacon and salad and a chip cob! All their ingredients are locally sourced. It was also good to know that their takeaway packaging is kept to a minimum. Even the containers are all made from plants and can be composted. I really hope other places do this. There's nothing worse than going to a place full of litter.
The old jokes are always the best!
After our meal we said goodbye to Robin Hood, the Prince of Thieves. Overall, it was good food, friendly staff, all very good prices and the sun was still out. You can't ask for more than that.
