While we were in the area, we popped into the Tegg's Nose Tea Room in Macclesfield. (Tegg's Nose being a mountain summit). The tea room is family run and situated in the country park surrounded by great views.

I like an establishment that allows dogs inside as they are better behaved then some people I've sat next to.

We ordered a latte, jacket potato with cheese and salad and a chicken tikka roll. It tasted really good. This was the reward for going out and getting some exercise!

A kestrel was hovering above us. Thankfully, not the real thing. I wasn't going to share my food with anyone, but then again, I don't think I'd like to get into a fight with a kestrel.

Just inside the tea room, they have a gallery that showcases the work of local artists.

The latest exhibition was called 'birds on paper' by artists, Patty Callahan and Ann Robertson. I used to do papier mache at school but it never turned out as good as this!

The tea room was in a great location to have a good walk along the Gritstone Trail and then have a treat at the café.
