I had a walk around Codnor Park today. It was a little overcast but I thought if I was quick I could beat the rain.

It's a lovely place for a short walk or you could just sit on the many benches watching the wildlife. I spotted at least five cygnets with their parent. It is good that they've had a large brood.

According to the information board, there are quite a few birds and fish that have been spotted here.

This is an old bridge that stands on the disused part of the canal. Years ago, it would have been over the Pinxton part of the canal.

Sadly, after the reservoir flood relief scheme was put into place, it was just left to stand alone. It still looks quite cool though.

There's a nice footpath running round the lake, although today it was rather boggy with all the rain that we've had.

The walk leads you slightly into the wooded area. You have options of going further afield but I only wanted a short walk today.

After walking over the footbridge, I made my way back to the car park, just in time before the rain came down.
