Is It Friday Yet?……….My Actifit Report Card: February 6 2025
Is it Friday yet? No- but it is Friday Eve! Thank goodness!😅
First, before I get into the day, that first picture makes me think I’d like a set of drum sticks or cymbal mallets to see what kind of sound all those various Hoof Fungus might make when struck! 😁
Ever had one of those days where you either want to have a stiff drink or two? Well, today was one of those days.
We were going to change credit card machines to one that would integrate with the office software. Great idea-right? Wrong! I called the credit card processor company and they got me into our account but said that the office software company had to do the actual set up with me. No problem-I’ll just give them a call.
Upon reaching a tech, we got it to integrate with the system. Perfect-NOT! I’ll explain that in a moment. There was also a wireless card reader which gave no code to be able to pair with the office software. I was then told to contact the equipment company again. Another phone call and a couple of reps later, was told to call the office software folks to deal with it as they couldn’t help me. Can you picture a tug of war and I’m the rope? So I called software folks back. This guy ended up conferencing the equipment company, software, and myself. They still could not get it to work. The credit card company left the call which hung up on the software tech as well. So……. I placed yet another call and got someone entirely new. Now while all those other calls were happening, I soon realized through trial and error that the wired card reader wasn’t functioning-you couldn’t actually run a card transaction! 🤯
So after many ( I lost track of exactly how many) phone calls, I ended up having to go back into the system and put it back to manual credit card transactions so I could at least function! I felt like I’d been run over by a Mac truck at this point!
To add to all of this, my coworker was over an hour and a half late! 🙄 I could have used her to run interference while I recuperated from my stressful morning and got on with the work I’d neglected because of all of the mess!
I feel so much better having typed all that! 😅
Tomorrow is Friday and I for one, am very glad! Enjoy some snowy fungus eye candy!
