Has the world got you upside down? No worries! Take a hike in nature!
Our day began at church, but afterwards, because it was gloomy and we needed some fresh air, we decided to head to Boulevard Park and Bellingham Bay! It was seriously cloudy and a bit of a breeze was blowing. Amazingly enough, the park was not overly crowded nor was the boardwalk trail. At arrival , there seemed to be some sort of regatta going on. We had never seen that many sailboats on the bay during the many trips we’ve taken! I didn’t even get all of them in my pics.
Here’s two colorful sailboats.
There is an active railroad that skirts the bay.
I just love the sound and visual of a train coming and going. I was wondering if we’d get lucky, and we did!
This seagull seemed nonplussed at the racket the train made.
There were some pretty flowers…….
……..and some interesting plant species.
We didn’t do the whole hike as @silvertop needed some painting supplies. So, we left and headed to the Home Depot, where I found more flowers!
On the way home, we stopped for mocha frappes. It had already begun raining by then.
Tomorrow will find me roasting coffee and doing some continuing education for my state optical requirements. I’m hoping we get the chance to hike Slumbering Bear Trail tomorrow. I’m hoping the vine maples will be showing some color. The summer conditions this year should have set them up for a fall color display.
That’s gonna be it for now. Take care everyone and enjoy the week ahead! 🙏🇺🇦

Oh! I almost forgot! Here’s a Phoenix photo from her hike yesterday in the mountains. 🐶
Enjoy! 🐶🌻😁
