Can you say CRAZY?! That was my day today! It started out normal enough. It was when I went to call a patient before we opened, that things started going south. First, I dialed his number and got a super fast busy signal. Hmmmm....well, I thought I’d text on the clinic’s cell, and ask him to call the clinic. Shortly thereafter, I got a text back asking if he could call on this phone. Turns out he got the same busy signal. It was then I discovered that the phone was down. Normally not necessarily a huge deal except this is a shared line, meaning our faxes, phone calls and credit card auths are all done on the same line!🙀
The long and short of it-after 4 phone calls to the provider, they told me they’d have it fixed by December 30th!!!😳😳😳. At one point phone calls started coming in but I could make no outgoing calls. I had the clinic’s headset on one ear and my cell phone’s Bluetooth on the other trying to make things work! Fortunately, only once did I have one call simultaneously on each phone going at the same time!! Whew!!!
I should have taken a selfie but didn’t think of it. Tomorrow is a fully booked day and unless they get things fixed, cash and checks are all we can take! Gonna be interesting!
