Fears are irrational and paralysing. They poison and distort our inner self. For example fear of death is stupid. We are all gonna die some day. So how can you fear of something that is definitely going to happen?
Fears indicate our inadequacy to deal with anything "unexpected" that may happen to us. We feel vulnerable under any circumstances and we persuade ourselves that we're not gonna make it, that there is no way to overcome any obstacle. This huge lie, can affect badly our everyday life and make us miserable and decrease the quality of our lives.
The funny thing is that when we fear of something so badly, we tend to think of all kind of imaginary scenarios -"if this and that happens I am simply gonna die"- and when it actually happens, we are totally capable of making through it and we don't feel fearful anymore. Fear is always worse than reality. Isn't it weird?
Do we underestimate ourselves or we just want to avoid any pain or difficulties?
We are all tougher than we think. We can overcome any difficulties and continue stronger the journey of life. We have to rationalise fears and realise that they are just related to imaginary scenarios which may or may not happen. In addition the person that stars in these scenarios is always a poor little human who is totally incapable of anything and this person is by no means who we are.
Every time we overcome a difficulty that used to scare us before, we have to keep in mind that we actually made it and use it wisely in the future. If I managed to stand on my feet once, I will do it again. This is when you harness and master your fears.
Another mistake we make is that we persuade ourselves that everything is supposed to be perfect. That we will never get ill, that no one is going to leave us, no one is gonna die, that we won't lose our job, that life is rainbows and unicorns, when it's not. Thus, basing our existence on such a big lie, we don't deserve anything that may go wrong and we are fearful of being hit by any misfortune. By trying to keep everything in -an abnormal- order, we just harm our selves.
Bare in mind that you are strong enough to overcome anything. Life has ups and downs. Enjoy your ups and be ready to fight during the downs. Don't let any hypothetical thoughts poison the perfection of each moment.
