We are all humans and we all have some pet peeves. Having pet peeves doesn't mean that we are not easy going, or that we are nuts, it just mean that we are annoyed by specific things and this is absolutely normal -no one is perfect right? So in this post I will share with you my own little things that can make my blood pressure go high.
The ones who are with me since day one in steemit, already know that I cannot stand loud chewers next to me. This sound may awake the darkest thoughts and instincts inside of me. I lose my temper easily in such cases but I often do no harm. I just leave.
I want no one touching my face. I find no reason doing that. Face is more susceptible to dirt, hands most of the times are not that clean and doing so forces me to slap those hands. Plus, women from time to time wear make up and you are messing with it but touching the face -even worse rubbing it (what the hell is going on with you?).
There is plenty of space on cheeks to give kisses. This is where kisses are supposed to be given. NOT on the scalp! It feels weird and risky. Hair tend to absorb all kind of scents no matter how often you wash them. And I do wash them regularly but STILL I want no one on my head.
I have no problem sharing my food since most of the times I don't finish it. BUT, please don't eat it from my dish and don't oblige me to try yours. Saliva is sneaky and goes everywhere and I don't enjoy much this kind of saliva exchange/mixing.
I'm not deaf and I want to keep my calm in general. By shouting while talking I won't pay more attention to you cause I'm trying to put back in order my deteriorated pieces.
In greek of course since in english I don't consider myself a pro and it's not my mother tongue. So when people make some specific mistakes I feel like being punched on the face. I think I got this from my mama.
At your home you may do anything you like. Spray the whole place with your saliva and your viruses or bacteria -whatever- I don't care. But when you are surrounded by people put your damn hand in front, cough/sneeze in your t-shirt, do anything but bath us with your sickness.
In Greece this is some kind of unwritten law. Many people do that and I don't know why. At the end of each yawn they say "AAaaAAaahhHhhH Holy Mary". Why??!! Please tell me why! Does she listen to you that way? Did she provoke that yawn to you? You ask for attention? Mine? Hers? WHY?
There are some people who squeeze your hand so hard, that you hear your poor bones cracking. I don't get that. You want to show me how excited you are meeting me? The opposite? Maybe that you are so strong? Or maybe cause you're an idiot? For years I was just smiling while screaming from pain inside. However I've read somewhere that hurting one's hand is not polite and the "victim" should say "that hurts". Instead I say "Aouch".
In some shops there are employees that become your shadow. They appear out of nowhere asking you "may I help you?" you reply "no thanks I'm just browsing" but they never leave you out of their sight. I'm not planning to steal anything and if I want any help I will ask for it, so stop following me everywhere. Shoo-shoo! Sometimes I feel like they're gonna pop out behind my sofa. In my house. Asking me if I want any help. You creeps!
I'm sure I have many more but I think that's enough for today... I hope I didn't sound that crazy and that you also have some of your own that you just don't admit publicly.
