California winters are weird to me. It snows, but not where I live. It gets cold, but not where I live. I am in northern California, in suburbia, essentially, so there is a micro-climate in addition to the already temperate nature of the seasons and for me, it equates to weird.
I lived in Maryland for a few years and enjoyed beautiful snows, torrential summer rainstorms, and all of the in between. I liked it, I loved it actually...everything but the humidity. I will take a hard pass on the southern summer humidity.
So, in my garden, here in northern California, although it is December, the bees (or bee) is still buzzing.
The flowers are still blooming and the sun is still shining.
