I want to paint faces that have experienced life...suffering, joy and the whole gamut in-between. I truly object to plastic hollywood dolls on canvas, a total waste of effort and paint...but that is what people think is art now because of our "positivity" craze. They confuse positivity with zombie-like deadness, plastic robotic meaningless shit. Positivity is about compassion, caring and deep sympathy which produces emotion on one's face, not erases it...people seem horrified at any sign of real life on canvas...
