Hey dear Hive community, first of all I would like to welcome you with a few nice opening words and hope you had a nice day, I also hope you can enjoy your weekend! I would like to pursue two of my interests in this post, flowers and photography and hope you will like my pictures!
You can see here a flower that many have probably seen before, the tulip, which is also scientifically called Tulipa. Today it also rained a bit and I think the title of my post is appropriate, as the raindrops give the pictures a very special flair. The flowers of the tulips have not yet opened, but as soon as that is the case I will probably present some pictures again.
By the way, tulips are a symbol of protection and a sign to express love and there are even more symbols associated with the tulips, others are, happiness or harmony. Also in Greek mythology there is a story associated with this flower, Tulip which is the daughter of the sea god Proteus who, according to a legend, was transformed into a tulip flower.
Tulips are also widespread in Turkish mythology and is often symbolized in works of art or murals, it is also the National flower of Turkey. There is a legend that claims from the blood of a warrior who died for his faith, a tulip blooms. In general, tulips can often be found in art history worldwide and have been immortalized in numerous works of art and have gained great importance in recent centuries.
Thank you very much for visiting my post and I hope you like it! I used my camera Sony Alpha 6000 and Sony SEL-55210 Telephoto Zoom Lens (55-210mm) to take these pictures.
